WOW..!!! Paul and I are so excited to post that our Very Special girl AKC MH Nova is pregnant.!!!
The sire is a very talented, handsome young boy...CH-MH B and M Meinhold Col. Hawker. He has all the best health clearances. We should have a blk-Ylw litter.
I chose Hawk for Nova for several reasons. 1st I have made several show CHs....Ha with much help, time and money.
I have trained and titled 30 Master Hunters. I know what is required from the elite labradors that can earn these titles.
More impressive is the fact that there are about...only 70 Labradors in the ENTIRE history of the breed...of the hundreds of thousands REGISTERED that have this title.!!!
MH Nova is a daughter of CH-MH female #9 Caper and GCH-MH #45 Blue Goose .
Nova is such a special individual. Her field/hunt test talents are the tops. Every MH test she passed was very challenging and for the very experienced MH titled dogs. She would run the marks perfectly and has earned the reputation of lining most of the required blinds.
Since Nova was a pup she has always been an excellent marker and hard driving.
I did have trouble earning her MH title sooner than she did because of all her hormone surges, poisoning, punctured eyeball from a migrating shard from the roof of her mouth. A pyometrea, AND a broken rear metatarsal bone wearing a cast for 7 weeks.!! OH.. did I mention a slight tear in her bicept? OH Ya again...2 heat cycles a year. ...hummm....plus 3 attempts of breeding her with NO pregnancys..!!! Nova is our $1,000,000 baby.!
Her beauty and talent was worth going on with despite all the set backs. This is why we are so thrilled with her pregnancy
Hawk is impressive because of his obvious natural field talents and trainability. He finished his MH titles within 6 months of reaching that top level as a 3-4 yr. old.
Also impressive is how quickly he finished his show Championship, This is Very impressive.!...to us.
2nd ...Hawks pedigree on his sires side is a lot of English breeding with the Sandyland kennel. These dogs will always have a shorter coupled body with a rock solid topline. Always with beautiful heads and kind expressions.
Nova is a big girl. I didn't want anymore length on her body. Hawk should give the pups a solid topline as well.
But...I know that having Super Stud/Producer, CH Dickendall Davaron Gabel..(Clark) on the dams side of the pedigree would be a very positive influence. I have Clark in MH Paris and CH-MH #56 Yuletide as their g-sire. Many other talented field titles show bred dogs have Clark in the pedigree.
3rdly. Nova deserves to be bred to a beautiful boy that easily earned his AKC conformation title. Nova also deserves to be bred to a very talented young, ALL show bred boy that has proved "He Can Hang" with all the field bred dogs.
So many of the HUGELY titles show boys just don't deserve to be bred to a super girl like Nova. Pretty IS as Pretty DOES...to me.
OH ...Did I mention Nova has many pts. toward her show CH with minimal outings.?
Nova+Hawks litter will sell for $2500. I may price the litter a bit higher if the litter warrants.
